Metrics & Reporting

Metrics & Reporting

While the journal is listed on DOAJ (which prohibits impact-factor logos), we will provide various metrics in an unbiased way:

  • Journal-Level Metrics: Annually, the journal will publish basic statistics as required by Plan S: number of submissions, number of reviews requested, number of articles accepted, acceptance rate, and average review and publication times. This transparency aligns with DOAJ and Plan S guidelines and helps authors gauge the process efficiency.
  • Article-Level Metrics: For each article we will display standard bibliometrics (e.g. Scopus CiteScore or Clarivate JIF if available) only in text (no branded logos) and alternative metrics (Altmetric score, CrossRef Event Data, downloads) on the article page. As DOAJ (and DORA) advise, we will not emphasize any single metric but may provide commonly accepted indicators for readers’ reference.
  • Citation Tracking: The journal will use CrossRef’s Cited-by service and Google Scholar to track citations of published articles. Key citation counts may be listed in author dashboards and annual reports for publisher evaluation.
  • Altmetrics: We will optionally partner with an altmetrics provider so that each article can show an altmetric badge with social attention (tweets, news coverage, etc.), as recommended by DOAJ.

Overall, Metrics page content will reassure stakeholders that we follow DORA principles by using metrics responsibly and providing annual transparency in reporting.

Marketing & Outreach

To promote content and broaden impact, the journal will employ targeted marketing:

  • Regular calls for papers (CFPs) distributed via academic email lists, social media (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, ResearchGate), and conferences in business disciplines.
  • Press releases for notable articles.
  • Partnerships with professional societies and webinars.
  • Inclusion in RSS feeds and journal alert services.

These activities will be coordinated by the publisher’s marketing team and guided by Committee on Publication Ethics advice to ensure honesty and relevance.
